2014 Pennsylvania Outdoor Writer’s Association Excellence in Craft Awards:
At the 2014 Pennsylvania Outdoor Writers Association spring conference in Shippensburg, Frantz was honored with two Excellence in Craft Awards. Among the top outdoor journalists from across the state, he earned second place in two categories- Best Newspaper Feature and Best Magazine or Regional Newspaper Feature. The winning newspaper feature was "The amazing Salmon River Circus," which ran in the Lebanon Daily News Outdoors page on Sunday, October 20, 2013 and the winning magazine feature was "Bear Down: Hard work in harvesting a Penn's Woods bruin," which was published in the November 2013 issue of Pennsylvania Game News. All categories were judged by members of the California Outdoor Writer's Association, and winners from the collection of over 200 entries were recognized at the POWA awards banquet in May.

North American Hunting Competition Video Contest Winner
Tyler Frantz placed second overall in the 2014 North American Hunting Competition's Video contest for his video, "Natural Pursuit Outdoors- Opening Day Delight: Self-filmed PA Bow Kill." His 2015 entry, "Natural Pursuit Outdoors- PA Whitetail Triple BBD," earned third place overall. Both are available for viewing on the Natural Pursuit YouTube channel.
